The city preserves its historic samurai district, which once contained around 700 residences for samurai families. A distinctive feature of the area is the spring water channel running through the center of the road, which was used for daily needs by the residents.
This road now stretches 406.8 meters, and the former residences of the Yamamoto, Shinobe, and Shimada families are open to the public free of charge. Visitors can explore these homes to see how samurai lived and what their houses were like during that period.
